David was a man of unparalleled wisdom and kindness. The very first time I met him I could tell how busy and zoned in he was on one of his cases, but that didn’t stop him from dropping everything and starting up a conversation with me. We talked about law, some obscure case I was having trouble with, and we talked about our families. He showed unparalleled knowledge and professionalism regarding my esoteric legal dilemma and, even more importantly, his face absolutely lit up when discussing his family. I wish I could properly articulate the type of beaming love and affection his eyes and mannerisms had shown to me, but it’s beyond me. It’s likely beyond words. He was a wonderful person and I will miss him dearly. I’m so sorry for everyone’s loss. Truly and deeply sorry.
